Apple Maps Gets Smarter with Enhanced Flyover and Local Lists
Apple Maps is receiving a significant upgrade with a revamped Flyover experience powered by AI-enhanced aerial imagery. The feature offers more detailed and realistic views of select cities worldwide, allowing users to explore destinations with greater accuracy before visiting them.
Apple is also introducing Local Lists in the United States, helping users discover trending restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and popular local spots through curated recommendations generated using privacy-focused insights.
Find My Adds Flexible Location Sharing
Find My is becoming more customizable with new location-sharing controls. Users will be able to share their location for specific durations, ranging from minutes to days, or set a precise date and time for sharing to automatically end.
Apple is also consolidating the Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People apps on Apple Watch into a single Find My application. The redesigned app features a map-centric interface and supports Precision Finding for compatible iPhones, AirTags, and AirPods.
Apple Wallet Introduces AI-Powered Bill Splitting
One of the most notable additions to Apple Wallet is AI-powered bill splitting through Apple Cash. Users can scan receipts using their iPhone camera or import a photo of a bill, allowing Apple Intelligence to identify individual items, calculate taxes and tips, and determine exactly how much each person owes.
Apple is also making it easier to digitize loyalty and membership cards. Users can scan physical cards or screenshots and save them directly to Apple Wallet for quick access on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Hotel room keys are also getting an upgrade, with Wallet now offering richer travel information, activity updates, and access to hotel services directly within the app.
Apple Pay and Tap to Pay Become More Intelligent

Meanwhile, Tap to Pay on iPhone is gaining a new feature called Tap to Share, enabling customers to securely share information such as loyalty details, shipping addresses, and contact information with merchants through a simple tap. Shoppers will also be able to view their basket contents in real time during checkout.
Video Podcasts Expand Across Apple Ecosystem

Apple is also introducing a new search-within-show feature that allows listeners to quickly locate specific episodes across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and the web.
iCloud Shared Albums Get a Major Overhaul
Shared Albums in iCloud are receiving one of their biggest updates yet. Users will be able to share full-resolution photos, react with emojis, view improved activity feeds, and collaborate through temporary albums designed for short-term projects.
Notably, Apple is making Shared Albums more accessible by allowing people without Apple devices to contribute photos through the web.
Additionally, most iCloud+ plans will include higher usage limits for Apple Intelligence features and support for AI-powered Home camera functionality.
