Qualcomm and ASUS have launched the ASUS Ascent QN10, the world’s first mini-PC powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. Unveiled at Computex 2026, the compact AI PC features an 80 TOPS NPU, enterprise-grade security, and support for advanced on-device AI workloads, bringing Snapdragon’s AI-focused computing experience beyond laptops and into the desktop segment.

Taipei, Taiwan: Qualcomm Technologies and ASUS have unveiled the ASUS Ascent QN10, the first mini-PC powered by the newly announced Snapdragon X2 Elite platform, marking the expansion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series beyond laptops and into compact desktop computing. The device was introduced at Computex 2026 and is positioned as an AI-focused mini-PC designed for professionals, developers, enterprises, and industrial deployments.

At the heart of the ASUS Ascent QN10 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite platform, which brings on-device AI capabilities, desktop-class performance, and improved power efficiency to a compact form factor. The chipset features an 80 TOPS Neural Processing Unit (NPU), enabling local execution of AI workloads, including large language models, AI agents, inferencing tasks, and advanced productivity applications. Qualcomm says the platform is capable of running AI tools and agent-based workflows while maintaining low power consumption and quiet operation.

The QN10 stands out for its ultra-compact design. ASUS claims the chassis occupies less than 0.7 litres of volume, making it approximately 86% smaller than a conventional 5-litre mini-PC. Despite its size, the system supports a range of professional workloads, including content creation, software development, enterprise productivity, and digital signage deployments. Qualcomm also highlights built-in chip-to-cloud security features aimed at business and enterprise customers.

For developers, the mini-PC offers support for AI-driven workflows, local model experimentation, and agentic computing applications, alongside a broad selection of connectivity options, including multiple USB4 and USB 3.2 ports. Qualcomm says the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform is designed to handle demanding workloads such as coding, AI orchestration, and local AI inferencing without sacrificing efficiency.

The launch signals Qualcomm’s broader ambitions in the desktop computing segment. With the debut of Snapdragon X2 Elite in a mini-PC form factor, the company is aiming to bring its AI-first computing strategy to desktops, all-in-one PCs, and future small-form-factor devices. Qualcomm believes the combination of high performance, on-device AI processing, and energy efficiency could help redefine expectations for next-generation desktop PCs.
