Infinix SMART 20 Set to Launch on June 8 With 120Hz Display, IP64 Durability and AI Features
Infinix has announced the upcoming SMART 20, launching on June 8 with a 120Hz display, IP64 durability, Helio G81 Ultimate processor, and AI-powered features aimed at budget-conscious smartphone buyers.
New Delhi: Infinix is gearing up to expand its affordable smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Infinix SMART 20 on June 8. Positioned as an entertainment-focused smartphone, the upcoming device aims to combine a premium design, high-refresh-rate display, durable build quality, and AI-powered features at an accessible price point.
The SMART 20 features a slim 7.7mm profile and a premium 3D Texture Composite Panel, designed to improve grip while reducing fingerprints and smudges. Infinix says the device has been built around three core pillars: design, display, and durability.
For media consumption, the smartphone sports a 6.78-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 700 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM). The display also supports a 4-Level Self-Adaptive Refresh Rate system that dynamically adjusts the refresh rate based on usage to balance smoothness and battery efficiency.
On the durability front, the SMART 20 comes with an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. Infinix claims the device has undergone over 25,000 drop tests, including resistance to drops from up to 1.5 metres. The display also supports touch operation even with oily or greasy fingers.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor, paired with up to 8GB RAM via Memory Fusion technology. The device will be available in 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB storage variants. Infinix is also touting its 48-Month Fluency Certification, which is intended to ensure long-term smooth performance.
The SMART 20 introduces several connectivity and communication enhancements. One of the standout features is Ultra Link, which enables offline communication over distances of up to 1 kilometre without requiring a cellular network. The smartphone also incorporates multi-mode noise cancellation with voice print noise reduction technology for improved call clarity in noisy environments.
Running XOS 16, the device includes One Tap Infinix AI and the company’s Folax AI assistant. AI-powered tools include One-Tap Query, Speaker Cleaner, Song Recognition, and Scan to Document, aimed at simplifying everyday tasks.
For photography, the SMART 20 features an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, catering to everyday imaging needs.
Infinix is expected to reveal pricing and availability details closer to the launch date. With its combination of a large 120Hz display, AI-driven features, durable construction, and modern design, the SMART 20 appears poised to strengthen the brand’s presence in India’s budget smartphone segment.
