Homegrown smartphone maker Lava has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with the launch of the Lava Smart 4 Plus, introducing an all-new Smart series aimed at buyers in the under-₹10,000 segment. Priced at ₹9,999, the smartphone focuses on offering a large display, long battery life and enhanced durability, while running the latest Android 15 Go Edition.
The Lava Smart 4 Plus features a 6.75-inch HD+ display and is powered by the UNISOC 9863A octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM, along with support for an additional 4GB of virtual RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Keeping the device running is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging via a USB Type-C port. Lava says the phone is designed to deliver smooth day-to-day performance for users upgrading from feature phones or older Android devices.
For photography, the smartphone includes a 13-megapixel AI dual rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports dual 4G SIM connectivity and comes with features such as auto call recording, anonymous call recording and conference calling. One of its standout additions in this price segment is an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, alongside two years of assured security updates while running Android 15 Go Edition.
Lava says the Smart 4 Plus is available through its offline retail network and is backed by the company’s Free Service@Home after-sales support. The company is positioning the new Smart series around durability, battery life and affordability as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s highly competitive sub-₹10,000 smartphone market.
