The Hector Tomahawk is the first MG SUV based on the company’s new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology), which JSW MG Motor India describes as India’s first Multi-New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform.

The MG Hector Tomahawk EV gets a 69.2kWh MAGIC Battery paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It produces 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque, with a claimed 517km certified range on a single charge. The electric SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 90kW.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine, Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 20.5kWh battery pack. MG claims more than 115km of pure-electric range, while the combined driving range is rated at more than 1,100km with a full tank and full charge. The electric motor produces 148kW, with a claimed 0-100kmph time of approximately nine seconds.

The PHEV gets four driving modes: Pure Electric, Series Hybrid, Parallel Hybrid and Engine Direct Drive. The SUV also introduces Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality, allowing the vehicle’s battery to power appliances, outdoor equipment and homes.
