Motorola has launched the moto pad 70 groove in India with a 12.1-inch 2.5K 120Hz display, a nine-speaker JBL Pro audio system, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, and a 10,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The Android 16 tablet starts at an effective price of Rs. 33,999 and will go on sale from August 7.

Motorola has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of the moto pad 70 groove, a premium entertainment-focused Android tablet featuring a 12.1-inch 2.5K display, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, and Android 16. The tablet has been priced at Rs. 33,999 (including launch offers) and will go on sale starting August 7 via Flipkart, Motorola India, and leading retail outlets.

The biggest highlight of the moto pad 70 groove is its 9-unit JBL Pro Speaker System, comprising four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators. Motorola says the setup is tuned to deliver room-filling sound with Dolby Atmos support, while the tablet can also double as a Bluetooth speaker. It additionally includes Live Transcript with real-time translation support across more than 40 languages.

The tablet sports a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10 support, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 800 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode. Motorola says the display is designed for streaming, gaming, reading, and online learning.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card. Motorola claims the tablet is capable of handling multitasking, casual gaming, and 4K video playback with ease.

One of the more distinctive hardware additions is the 360° Kickstand 2.0, which supports four usage modes—Lean, Stand, Theatre, and Hanging Mode—allowing users to adapt the tablet for entertainment, productivity, video calls, or cooking and fitness sessions. The tablet also supports automatic portrait and landscape orientation.

The moto pad 70 groove packs a 10,200mAh battery with 45W TurboPower fast charging. Motorola claims it can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge, while a 10-minute top-up can provide up to two hours of usage.

On the software front, the tablet runs Android 16 out of the box and comes with Google’s Gemini AI, Circle to Search, AI Writing Tools, AI Notes, Smarter Reader, and Motorola’s Smart Connect ecosystem features. Motorola has also promised Android OS updates up to Android 18 along with four years of security updates.

The moto pad 70 groove is offered in a single 8GB + 256GB configuration in PANTONE Blue Surf. While its listed retail price is Rs. 36,999, Motorola is offering a Rs. 3,000 instant bank discount, bringing the effective launch price down to Rs. 33,999.
