Nothing Phone (4b) Design Officially Revealed Ahead of Launch, Brings Back the Glyph Bar

Nothing has officially revealed the design of its upcoming Phone (4b), offering the clearest look yet at the company's newest smartphone ahead of its scheduled launch.

After teasing the device over the past few days, the London-based smartphone maker has now showcased the complete design of the Phone (4b), confirming a refreshed look that combines elements from its existing Phone (4a) lineup while introducing a more minimal aesthetic.

According to Nothing, the Phone (4b) features a unibody rear design inspired by the Phone (4a) Pro, paired with the Glyph Bar from the Phone (4a). Unlike the more intricate transparent layouts seen on previous Nothing phones, the new design opts for a cleaner appearance while retaining the company's signature industrial styling.

The rear panel houses a horizontal pill-shaped camera island with a dual-camera setup. The camera module sits on a raised transparent platform, while the familiar Glyph lighting system returns in the form of a single horizontal light bar. Nothing says the combination of the unibody construction, clear camera bump and Glyph Bar is intended to make the device feel smoother in hand while preserving the brand's recognizable identity.

On the front, the Phone (4b) features a flat display with symmetrical design language, although the bezels appear noticeably thicker than those found on the Phone (4a) series. This aligns with expectations that the Phone (4b) will be positioned below the Phone (4a) as a more affordable offering in Nothing's smartphone portfolio. The company has not revealed the complete specifications yet, but previous teasers and official comments suggest the Phone (4b) is designed to create a new entry point in Nothing's lineup rather than replace the existing A-series devices. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis has previously explained that the "b" branding is an extension of the company's naming strategy and is intended to sit below the Phone (4a) series.

Nothing is expected to announce the Phone (4b) in full on July 7, when it will reveal pricing, hardware specifications and availability. Industry reports suggest the smartphone could feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, up to 8GB RAM and storage options of up to 256GB, although these details remain unconfirmed by the company.

With the official design now out in the open, the Phone (4b) appears to stay true to Nothing's signature transparent-inspired aesthetic while simplifying the overall look to target buyers looking for a more affordable entry into the brand's ecosystem.
