OPPO India has expanded the rollout of its ColorOS 16 update, introducing new AI-powered productivity tools, improved cross-platform connectivity, and smoother system interactions. Led by the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s, the update brings features such as AI Mind Pilot, O+ Connect, AI Scan, and enhanced personalization tools to a wider range of OPPO smartphones.

OPPO India has announced an expanded rollout of its latest ColorOS 16 software update, bringing a host of artificial intelligence-powered features, improved cross-device connectivity, and performance enhancements to a wider range of smartphones. The update is led by the company’s flagship Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s smartphones and will gradually reach additional devices through the end of May.

The latest version of ColorOS focuses on what OPPO calls a “Smart & Smooth” experience, introducing new AI-driven tools designed to improve productivity, personalization, content creation, and multitasking. According to the company, the update aims to make everyday smartphone interactions more intuitive while delivering a more fluid user experience.

One of the headline additions is an upgraded Live Space interface. The feature introduces refined lock screen animations and capsule-style notifications that surface real-time information while maintaining a cleaner and less distracting interface. OPPO says the update is designed to help users stay informed without interrupting their workflow.

ColorOS 16 also expands ecosystem connectivity through O+ Connect, allowing seamless file transfers and connectivity between OPPO and Apple devices. The company says the feature is intended to support users who regularly work across multiple device ecosystems.

Artificial intelligence remains a key focus of the update. OPPO has introduced AI Mind Pilot, a new system-level assistant integrated into AI Mind Space. The feature uses a multi-model orchestration framework that can leverage AI models including Gemini, GPT, and Perplexity to provide contextual responses and insights. Users can compare information from different AI systems within a single interface, potentially improving research and productivity workflows.

Additional AI-powered tools include AI Grouping, which automatically organizes apps and home screen layouts based on categories, colours, or previous arrangements. Travelers can also benefit from AI Menu Translation, which provides contextual menu translations with visual dish references. Meanwhile, AI Popout introduces 4K Motion Collage capabilities that allow users to create animated visual compositions directly on their smartphones.

The update further adds AI Scan, a document digitization tool that uses AI processing to capture, enhance, and organize documents. OPPO says the feature is designed to simplify paper-to-digital workflows for users who frequently scan receipts, notes, or printed documents.

Beyond AI enhancements, ColorOS 16 includes a range of usability improvements aimed at communication, organization, and multitasking. OPPO says the platform continues its focus on delivering smoother animations, faster interactions, and more intelligent system experiences.

The rollout of ColorOS 16 has already begun and will continue in phases until May 31, 2026. Eligible devices include models from the Find X9, Find X8, Reno15, and Reno14 series.
