REDMI Turbo 5 is now available in India with a Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, 7,540mAh battery, 100W charging, and 50MP camera.
Xiaomi has announced the first sale of the REDMI Turbo 5 in India, positioning it as the most powerful REDMI smartphone in its portfolio. The device goes on sale starting today at 12 PM across Mi.com, Amazon India, and Xiaomi retail stores.
The REDMI Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset and comes paired with up to LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi claims the smartphone is capable of delivering sustained 120fps gaming across more than 20 supported titles, thanks to its 3D IceLoop cooling system and Game Turbo Wild Boost optimisations.
One of the standout features of the device is its massive 7,540mAh battery, the largest ever on a REDMI smartphone in India. The battery uses 16 percent Silicon-Carbon technology and supports 100W HyperCharge fast charging, which Xiaomi says can charge the device to 51 percent in just 30 minutes. The smartphone also supports 27W reverse charging for powering accessories and other devices.
For photography, the REDMI Turbo 5 features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), and support for 4K video recording at 60fps. Xiaomi has also included its Turbo Snap burst mode, capable of capturing 100 images in 4.4 seconds, alongside an AI-powered image editing suite.
The smartphone sports a 1.5K AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, making it the brightest display ever featured on a REDMI smartphone, according to the company. The panel supports a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, Dolby Vision, 12-bit colour depth with support for over 68 billion colours, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Audio duties are handled by dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
In terms of durability, the REDMI Turbo 5 features an aerospace-grade metal frame, premium glass on both sides, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and IP66, IP68, and IP69K certifications for dust and water resistance. The device also includes motorsport-inspired Pixel Matrix ring lights that react dynamically to notifications, calls, and music playback.
Running Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the smartphone comes with Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, HyperConnect cross-device functionality, and a range of AI-powered features. Xiaomi has also promised four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the device.
