Therabody Launches TheraFace Mask Glo in India with 504 LEDs and 12-Minute Light Therapy Treatment

Therabody has launched the TheraFace Mask Glo in India, a cordless LED skincare mask featuring 504 medical-grade LEDs and a 12-minute treatment cycle. Priced at ₹34,999, the device combines Red, Infrared, and Blue light therapies to target wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and acne.

Wellness technology company Therabody has announced the India launch of the TheraFace Mask Glo, its latest beauty-tech device that combines multiple forms of LED light therapy into a lightweight, cordless mask designed for at-home skincare treatments. With a growing number of consumers turning to science-backed beauty products and non-invasive skincare solutions, the company is positioning the new device as a premium yet more accessible entry point into the fast-growing LED skincare category.

The TheraFace Mask Glo expands Therabody’s beauty portfolio, which already includes products such as the TheraFace PRO. The new mask features 504 medical-grade LEDs and combines Red Light, Red + Infrared Light, and Blue Light Therapy into a single 12-minute treatment cycle. According to the company, the device has been designed to help address a range of common skincare concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, skin texture issues, and mild-to-moderate acne.

LED light therapy has gained popularity in recent years as a non-invasive skincare treatment that can be used both in professional dermatology clinics and at home. Red light is commonly associated with stimulating collagen production and improving skin elasticity, while blue light is often used to target acne-causing bacteria. Infrared light, meanwhile, is believed to penetrate deeper into the skin and support overall skin health. By combining these therapies into a single preset program, Therabody says the mask offers a comprehensive skincare treatment that can fit into a consumer’s daily routine.

One of the key differentiators highlighted by Therabody is the mask’s design. Unlike many LED masks that require a wired connection to a power source, the TheraFace Mask Glo features a cordless, lightweight, and breathable construction, allowing users to move around freely during treatment sessions. The device also includes built-in protective eye shields for comfort and safety, making it possible to multitask while the treatment is underway.

Beyond the LED treatment itself, the company has incorporated its proprietary VibraWave technology, which delivers a gentle scalp massage during use. Therabody says this feature is intended to create a more relaxing, spa-like experience, aligning with the company’s broader focus on wellness technology rather than purely cosmetic devices.

The launch also comes with significant clinical claims. According to Therabody, the TheraFace Mask Glo is backed by the largest known clinical study in the LED mask category, involving more than 140 participants. The study is being conducted by cosmetic research laboratory Eurofins CRL and is evaluating the impact of the mask on skin health over a 12-week period. Results from the study are expected later this year and are expected to provide additional data on the device’s effectiveness.

In addition, the company points to earlier clinical testing involving daily use over a 12-week period, which demonstrated visible improvements in skin appearance when participants received equivalent light doses through the treatment program. While LED therapy has become increasingly common in consumer skincare products, clinical validation remains an important differentiator in a market crowded with wellness and beauty gadgets making similar promises.

Speaking about the launch, Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder and Chief Wellness Officer of Therabody, said the company has witnessed growing consumer interest in LED therapy and its benefits. He noted that feedback from users of previous TheraFace products helped shape the development of the new mask, with the goal of delivering an effective and convenient skincare solution at a more affordable price point.

The introduction of the TheraFace Mask Glo is also part of Therabody’s broader strategy to expand beyond recovery and wellness devices into the beauty technology segment. Best known for creating the Theragun massage gun category, the company has increasingly focused on bringing scientific research and consumer technology together across wellness, beauty, and performance products. Therabody says it has completed dozens of scientific studies and continues to invest heavily in research-backed product development.

In India, where premium beauty technology products remain a relatively niche category, the TheraFace Mask Glo will compete with a growing range of LED skincare devices targeting consumers willing to invest in at-home treatments. The combination of clinical backing, portability, and a simplified user experience could help the company stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

The TheraFace Mask Glo is priced at ₹34,999 and is available through Amazon and select premium retail outlets across India. With the launch, Therabody is betting that consumers are ready to embrace a new generation of connected beauty devices that promise professional-grade skincare results without requiring a visit to a clinic.
